Renovation update
We’re grateful you’re here. Your interest in helping shape the future of our church home means so much, and it’s a joy to have you connected to this community.
Updates

Good news!! The steel beam is being installed ahead of schedule. Prep. work for this has already begun, allowing the beam to be installed in the last week of July. As such, we will NOT be able to use the sancturay on August 2 and August 9. Although the contractor is confident we only need to miss one Sunday, we have chosen to build in some contingency. For these two Sundays, we are suggesting some alternate practices.
AUGUST 2: meet with your small group (or a collection of friends) to eat together and discuss the story in Genesis 22. This story highlights Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and will give you opportunity to share stories of where you have experienced God in this way. A discussion guide is attached.
AUGUST 9: immerse yourself in creation (by yourself or with a small group of friends). After reading Psalm 19, take time to listen to what creation is saying and what creation is saying about Elohim, the Creator God. Write a prayer of thanksgiving. A reflection guide is attached.
We will continue to meet for worship throughout July and again on August 16. You are also invited to join us for Wednesday Dinners on July 22 and August 12 and August 26. Please register by clicking on the appropriate date.
Grateful to be on the adventure together.

The asbestos remediation has begun. Below are some images showing the progress so far.

On May 23, our Varsity Bible Church community came together for Move Out Day—working side by side to clear the basement, tidy the outdoor areas, and prepare the space for the next season of ministry. The photo shown captures just a glimpse of the teamwork, joy, and shared laughter we experienced, especially as everyone gathered afterward to enjoy tacos for lunch.
