These are resources intended to be used in Community Groups and Bible Studies.
Many of us listen to the sermon on a Sunday but think very little of it for the rest of the week. For each sermon, we have designed a series of questions to help guide your reflections on the sermon and to go deeper.
Although this could be a solo endeavour, we recommend that you engage these questions in community. This can take the shape of going through some questions with a partner or engaging with these questions as a small group. Either way, you are encouraged to meet with someone each week to discuss what you have listened to. All questions can be found on our sermons plus page.
The Prayer Course
The Prayer course is an eight-week journey through the Lord’s Prayer. The session are: Why Pray?, Adoration, Petition, Intercession, Unanswered Prayer, Contemplation, Listening, Spiritual Warfare
Practicing the Way
Information alone is not enough to produce formation. We need to practice Jesus’ teachings, to get his ideas from our minds into the muscle memory of our bodies. We do this by adopting practices from Jesus’ own life, time-tested disciplines for the spiritual life that open up our entire being to God and allow him to transform us into people of love.
The Practices are meant to be done in community over four weeks. Each week you’ll gather with a group to learn through provided teaching, then spend the next days intentionally integrating the teaching into your life through spiritual and practical exercises. Before the next gathering, you can spend time reflecting with God and others, and potentially engage with additional recommended reading.
The Sanctuary Course is for anyone who wants to learn about faith and mental health. It requires no previous training or expertise—just a willingness to engage in dialogue with other believers.
