Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well.  Please know that VBC as a worship community is here for you and your families and we are always available to provide support & assistance. At a church level, the staff are working together to put people into “connecting groups” so that someone will regularly check in to see how you are doing.  Please feel free to contact me or any of the other Pastors or staff members if you find yourself in need of supplies, groceries, prayer or even just someone to talk to.  We are here to help.

Last week I had begun to think about how we could incorporate this year’s Memory Verse Unit.  In reviewing the verses, which happen to be themed around God and his greatness, I thought it would be good to pass them along to you. Here is the link. Can I encourage you to print these off and work with your kids to memorize these verses in the coming weeks? If you like you could set up a chart with stickers or other rewards. Once we are able to gather together again I will be happy to listen to any kids who have verses to recite.

I know what it’s like to be home with your kids - so i thought it might be worth including a few educational & spiritual resources that I have come across:

Educational resources K-6

Virtual Field trips

Talking to children

Mental Health and coping

The Family Devotional Experience Pack is a FREE downloadable resource created to guide your entire family through three 15-minute experiences. Each unique experience includes Worship Songs (featuring favorite Lifetree Kids Music Videos), Bible Stories, Life Application and Prayers.

And a fun bonus activity to try as a family

…and as we navigate this time with our kids, they may have many questions & concerns of their own.  The following post is a wonderful reminder of God’s presence and His greatness during turbulent times:

May you be at Peace in His Presence,
