FORTY DAYS OF COMMUNITY
Week 5 – May 21-25 |
 |
WORSHIPING TOGETHER
“Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel
before the Lord our maker, for He is our God.”
- Psalm 95:6
May 21 – Monday. The Psalmist encourages us to Worship the
Lord in all his holy splendor. (Psalm 16:29). As you give praise to God, pray
for a release of fresh passion for worship among God’s children, to create a
place where the Holy Spirit would be welcomed in our midst.
May 22 – Tuesday. Realizing that the kingdom of God is bigger than our church,
and bigger than we are as individuals, pray that we will draw together in
worship and praise, and unite in our efforts to further His kingdom on this
earth. Matthew 6:10.
May 23– Wednesday. Pray that as a church we will have a fuller, more biblical
understanding of the majesty and glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, that we might
see Him for who He is—King of kings, Lord of lords, Sovereign Lord, the Holy
One. Hebrews 12:28.
May 24 – Thursday. Pray that God’s glory would be reflected in your life today.
2 Cor 3:18.
May 25 – Friday. Give praise to God for what He has done in us and through us
during the past 40 days as we have often left our comfort zone to fellowship in
service to the broader community. Pray that our love for Christ and zeal for
ministry will continue to grow. Rejoice, keep going, and take courage from 1
Corinthians 15:58: Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move
you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that
your labour in the Lord is not in vain.
