LOVING GOD – LOVING ONE ANOTHER

April 16 – Monday
As we enter into 40 days of community and fellowship, ask God to search your heart, according to Psalm 139:23 and 24. Also pray that your love for God and others will deepen and grow. Ask the Lord to create a hunger in your heart to reach out to others.

April 17 – Tuesday
Pray that every member in the body of Christ will discover their place in God’s program for the coming days and come into a proper relationship with others, first within our congregation, and then beyond. Pray the words of Matthew 5:23 and 24, that you might offer your gift to God with a pure heart.

April 18 - Wednesday
Thank God for His love for us. Pray that we will be filled with the Holy Spirit, that we will overflow with love for our Lord, and daily surrender our lives to Him. Ask God to lead you to someone, as commanded in 1 Peter 1:22, to whom you can show Christ’s love either by words or by lending a helping hand in their need.

April 19 – Thursday
Pray that we, the Body of Christ, will function together in love and unity, according to Paul’s admonition in Philippians 2:1,2: “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.”

April 20 – Friday
Pray that as individuals we will work faithfully in God’s gifting and calling to encourage and in love to build up one another. By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another [John 13:35].

April 21- Saturday
Pray that as we give ourselves fully to the Lord and unite in a common purpose, we will grow in unity, in Spirit, in love, peace, purpose and passion, that the world will see the grace of God in us, and that they will want to know Him too. Ephesians 4:1-3.

April 22 - Sunday
Pray that the love of Christ and our love for Him will lead us to reach out into the community around our church, our neighbors, and the community where we live, and that it will extend to our co-workers, classmates, and all with whom we come in contact. 2 Corinthians 5:14,15.
